Namibia is unique – vast, desolate, harsh, awe-inspiring, the second least densely populated country on the planet. Surely sand, sand and almost only sand. The Namib Desert runs along the Atlantic Skeleton Coast, for almost 1000 miles – but travelling along any part of its length, we advise you to prepare yourself for its breathtaking beauty, while the vistas offered by hinter-landscapes appear other-worldly, juxtaposing perfect clear blue skies with silver salt pans, black camelthorn trees, and red rocks – all against the back drop of the seemingly endless burnt-orange dunes.
Watering holes are teeming with wildlife – this precious resource attracts a multitude of difference species including Desert Elephant, Black Rhino, Cheetah, Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Giraffe, Wildebeest, Hyena, Mountain & Plains Zebra, Springbok, Kudu, Gemsbok, Eland, Jackal, and Bat-eared Fox.
Enjoying a stable multi-party democracy and a strong economy based on mineral wealth, Namibia is a relaxed location. Tourism is still at a low level, but safaris here are of an extremely high standard in terms of accommodation, cuisine and game viewing opportunities.
Brelade understands that our clients want to take the time to see the world from a different perspective – we create interesting and diverse itineraries whilst keeping the pace relaxed and standard high – just like the illustration below.
